Excuses excuses!

I've been quiet on this blog for a few reasons.

Ms Pepper Puppy would have to top the list.

She is only a baby so requires constant attention & devotion.

So that's what we've been giving her.

She has decided that my new Birkis are her most favourite place to nap. If they're unavailable under or behind a lounge cushion comes a close second.

She tries to squeeze her whole head in!

Ooops I woke her trying to get a decent photo!

PS We are also keeping our focus on the shop - I promise!

Sean is about to print his latest design & I've arranged/ordered so much new handmade stock to arrive over the next few weeks

we may burst!

A change is as good as......

...a holiday!

Or so I've been led to believe.

As there's definitely no holiday on our horizon

- we reorganised our shop!

Shook everything up!

Rejigged.

You get the gist.

One day I'll take photos that aren't blurry eh?

That'd be handy.

PS Thanks for all being so patient whilst Ms Pepper Puppy gets settled! It's already been a week!!

Ms Pepper Puppy.

I promised to share puppy pics.

Ms Pepper is sometimes in the shop/sometimes at home.

Because she's only 6 1/2 weeks old and has only had the first round of her vaccinations - please do not be offended when I cannot let you pat her. Also, we are still trying to bond with her of course.

Midway through playing in her basket she wedged herself between her cushion and the basket wall and fell into a very deep sleep. Obviously a very uptight puppy - she'd only been with us for a few hours at this stage!

I swear Pepper thinks my old, chatty, furry slippers are related to her. You can see her flecks of lighter colour in this photo - the reason we named her Pepper.

She has the cutest white belly.

She's so difficult to take photos of - you can hardly see her teeny button nose & dolly eyes. We are completely smitten.

Of course some sleep would be handy - but she is toilet trained already! She learns very very quickly.

Completely off the subject - do remember that we'll be closed Tuesday 13th September as we're planning to spend Monday/Tuesday moving things about & squeezing even more in!

Maybe my Mum can puppy sit?

Why we love what we do.

As you've possibly seen we're closed next Tuesday.

That will give us two consecutive days to move things about a tad & add some more items I've been hoarding.

I'll also do a fresh window display - inspired by the cute creations of a young woman from Ipswich QLD whose little brand is called Amelie's World.

If you're lucky enough to live up that way you can pop in to Cultiver & nab yourself some "pick'n'mix" mushrooms!

I bought all that were available in her online store at the time & no, I won't be selling them when they're done adorning our window -

I am planning to use them as Xmas Tree decorations next!

We have also been hoarding some other mushroom cutesy items for weeks & weeks that will be for sale next week + I've been harassing our Handmade Item suppliers to send me new wares + have a LOT of new books on their way from San Fran! (They'll get here eventually! I've not been having the best of luck with deliveries lately!)

Look what Sean & I discovered on our Flyers/Streetpress/YOU stand this morning! A free zine by an anonymous person called The Swirl Chronicles. This is why I love our little shop. You are welcome to sneak zines etc onto this stand (obviously they have to be not yucky or rude or anything-ist!) - it makes us smile.

Please don't be offended if I don't let you fawn all over her - she'll be teeny & little overwhelmed & I may be a tad overprotective for a while. Thanks for understanding. Photos soon!
