Three in a row.

Blackbird Corner is closed for three whole days in a row.
Today, tomorrow & the next day.
(We're a tad tired to be honest.)

We hope that you have a gorgeous (and safe) New Years Eve however you choose to spend it. Sean & I spent our day walking around The Hill in Newcastle, taking photos with four of our Lomography cameras. Our favourite way to relax.
One of my very few "resolutions" is to get my rolls of film processed/printed - as opposed to popping them in the fridge door like I have done in 2012.

2012 has been an extraordinary year for Blackbird Corner.
We've really evolved this year and we hope you've enjoyed watching how we've grown and changed as much as we have.
Bring on 2013!
PS. Watch this space for news of even more new Australian Indy Designers who'll we'll be Newcastle's exclusive stockists of sooner rather than later.

I'm completely & utterly ecstatic to announce that a scrumptious new range of Lauren Carney Art prints and gift wrap and Chrissy card packs and ummm Pirate & Zombie clotheslines have arrived today! (Brian is the most keen of couriers - he delivers on Saturdays!) The parcels were almost too delightful to ruin by unwrapping them!

I covered the counter in all of the goodies in the middle of a rather busy Saturday trading as I was so excited!
And took a (blurry) photo!

We have heaps of gorgeous A4 prints for you to buy and frame!

Here's a sneaky glimpse of the Zombie and Pirate clotheslines!
So. You can see why I was so thrilled!
Pop in and see for yourself soon!
We're open 7 days a week until Chrissy!

PS. We even have a couple of prints of Lauren's collaboration with the divine Mel Stringer.

Side Project by Nina Baker

I know, I know it's a crazy time of year to get a new supplier but I couldn't go past these!
Nina Baker is a talented Sydney Contemporary Jewellery Maker & Designer with several projects on the go at once & I'm stoked that Blackbird Corner will be Newcastle's exclusive* stockists of her Side Project aluminium brooches Designed & Printed in Wagga Wagga and hand cut in Sydney. They are in stock now. There are more photos on our Facebook, but (unlike the below shots) they were taken by me so blurry, naturally. So busy! Must dash!
See you instore soon!

*Nina will also be placing a collection of more delicate/intricate  pieces with Studio Melt in Hunter Street, Newcastle.
